Article 1 – Scope and Definitions
These general terms and conditions apply to all transactions for the purchase of products through the website www.alumicaleira.com, including registration and ordering.
For the purposes of these general terms and conditions, the following definitions apply:
ALUMICALEIRA L.M. FERREIRA LDA, a private limited company headquartered at Travessa dos Petigais, 185 – 2400-835 Barosa, Portugal, registered under tax number 502951796, holder of all copyrights and related rights over the website www.alumicaleira.com, as well as other rights protected under the Industrial Property Code.
“Customer”: any entity placing an order through the website www.alumicaleira.com.These general terms do not affect the Customer’s rights and guarantees under applicable law for contracts of this nature.
ALUMICALEIRA L.M. FERREIRA LDA reserves the right to amend these “General Terms of Sale” at any time without prior notice, with changes published on the website, ensuring that such amendments do not affect purchases made prior to implementation.
Article 2 – Registration
To place an order, the Customer must be registered on the website www.alumicaleira.com by completing the registration form provided.
Once registered, the Customer may access their personal online account by logging in using the password chosen during registration, which is personal and non-transferable.
From the moment the Customer logs in to the website www.alumicaleira.com, they are subject to these general terms, as well as the applicable legal and regulatory rules governing its use.
Article 3 – Order
To place an order, the Customer must access their personal online account on www.alumicaleira.com using their email and password, select the product(s) available for online sale, and complete the order by confirming the delivery address, tax identification number, and final validation of the order.
After final order validation, the Customer will receive an automatic email confirmation, and the order will be reviewed internally by ALUMICALEIRA L.M. FERREIRA LDA to verify the delivery conditions of the ordered product(s). This phase should be as short as possible, preferably completed the same day.
An email will then be sent indicating the availability of the material and including the delivery note, which provides all necessary information for payment, such as Multibanco reference or IBAN for bank transfer. If clarification is needed, telephone contact may occur at this stage.
Once receipt is confirmed, an email will be sent with a link allowing the Customer to track the delivery via www.alumicaleira.com.
Order tracking can also be performed through the “My Account” section in the Customer’s personal account on the website.
Final order validation constitutes the Customer’s full and unconditional acceptance of the transaction, including acceptance of these General Terms of Sale, applicable laws and regulations, the price, and the characteristics of the ordered product, with mutual enforceability of obligations (to the Customer and ALUMICALEIRA L.M. FERREIRA LDA) as stated in the order confirmation.
Products available for order are listed on www.alumicaleira.com.
Article 4 – Price and Product Characteristics
Product prices for sale on the website www.alumicaleira.com are listed in Euros (€) and include VAT at the legal rate in force, unless otherwise indicated.
The prices indicated do not include shipping costs, which will be added to the total order value upon selection of the shipping option available.
Prices on the website www.alumicaleira.com may be modified at any time without prior notice, but not after the Customer’s order has been accepted by ALUMICALEIRA L.M. FERREIRA LDA.
Products offered by ALUMICALEIRA L.M. FERREIRA LDA are presented on the website with their characteristics, and it is understood that the Customer has reviewed this information before placing an order.
Confirmation of the order formalizes the purchase and sale contract of the products, as well as the related delivery service.
After order confirmation, an email with a summary will be sent to the Customer.
Orders will be delivered to the address provided by the Customer, who makes payment via Multibanco, MBWay, or other available methods before receiving the order.
For products sold by weight, the weight is approximate and may vary.
Use of the website www.alumicaleira.com does not incur any additional cost.
The minimum shipping cost via ALUMICALEIRA L.M. FERREIRA LDA’s logistics operator for mainland Portugal is €10.
These amounts may change without prior notice; the Customer may verify the shipping cost at the time of order completion.
ALUMICALEIRA L.M. FERREIRA LDA may offer other delivery services on the website, with prices varying according to the option chosen by the Customer.
For more information regarding shipping costs, the Customer may contact ALUMICALEIRA L.M. FERREIRA LDA via www.alumicaleira.com.
ALUMICALEIRA L.M. FERREIRA LDA reserves the right to ship orders free of charge (“free shipping”), if expressly indicated on the website and applied at order completion.
Article 5 – Delivery
ALUMICALEIRA L.M. FERREIRA LDA will dispatch the ordered product(s) through a logistics operator to the address provided by the Customer at order confirmation, which may differ from the billing address.
Deliveries will follow the days and times used by the logistics operator.
ALUMICALEIRA L.M. FERREIRA LDA does not deliver to PO boxes.
ALUMICALEIRA L.M. FERREIRA LDA undertakes to dispatch orders within a maximum of 15 business days.
In case of product unavailability, including stock shortages, the Customer will be informed and may accept a replacement. No compensation is due to the Customer in this situation.
Delivery times are in addition to transport time, which depends on the logistics operator and destination.
Upon delivery, the logistics operator will obtain the signature of the recipient after careful inspection. Refusal to sign will be recorded and the order will not be delivered.
If the order is damaged, the Customer should refuse delivery or accept it with reservations, noting it on the delivery document.
The Customer must also contact ALUMICALEIRA L.M. FERREIRA LDA via www.alumicaleira.com.
If delivery is unsuccessful, the logistics operator will leave a notice; the Customer must contact them to reschedule within 1 business day.
If delivery fails for reasons attributable to the Customer, the order will be returned to ALUMICALEIRA L.M. FERREIRA LDA.
If the order is returned undelivered, the purchase will be considered cancelled.
ALUMICALEIRA L.M. FERREIRA LDA shall not be liable for delivery delays caused by force majeure or unforeseeable events, including strikes, pandemics, acts of war or terrorism, riots, blockages, insurrections, sabotage, earthquakes, tornadoes, hurricanes, storms, fires, floods, or other extreme weather or environmental conditions, or any acts of public authority not attributable to ALUMICALEIRA L.M. FERREIRA LDA.
If a force majeure event occurs, delivery times will be extended until performance is possible.
If such a force majeure event continues for more than four months, either Party may terminate the contract on this basis.
Article 6 – Returns Policy
ALUMICALEIRA L.M. FERREIRA LDA will accept returns when legally required.
Customers of the online store have the right to terminate the contract within 30 calendar days from the date of effective receipt of the goods, without incurring any cost, by notifying ALUMICALEIRA L.M. FERREIRA LDA through any unequivocal statement, without needing to provide a reason.
The Customer may not freely terminate contracts for: a) goods made according to the consumer’s specifications or clearly personalized; b) goods that cannot be returned due to their nature or are perishable; c) sealed goods not suitable for return due to health or hygiene reasons once opened; d) goods that are inseparably mixed with other items; e) newspapers, periodicals, or magazines, except subscription contracts for delivery of such publications.
To return a product, it must be in perfect condition, in its original packaging, undamaged or altered, with all accessories or promotional gifts included, and accompanied by proof of purchase or invoice.
Upon receipt and verification of the product’s condition, ALUMICALEIRA L.M. FERREIRA LDA will accept the return and refund the payment within 30 days.
In case of stock shortage, ALUMICALEIRA L.M. FERREIRA LDA will refund the amount paid using the same payment method as the original transaction.
Refunds will only cover the price paid for the product, excluding shipping costs.
Except as stated in the following paragraph, all costs related to returning the order will be borne by the Customer.
Returns of defective products or incorrect shipments will be covered by ALUMICALEIRA L.M. FERREIRA LDA, provided the Customer notifies the company within 1 day of receipt.
ALUMICALEIRA L.M. FERREIRA LDA will exchange defective products or refund the full amount without any cost to the Customer.
Products damaged by the Customer or showing obvious signs of use cannot be returned. ALUMICALEIRA L.M. FERREIRA LDA is not responsible for damages caused by incorrect or negligent use, or for components subject to normal wear.

Article 7 – Liability
ALUMICALEIRA L.M. FERREIRA LDA is not liable for any damage caused by abusive third-party intervention in the IT system supporting the website, nor for damage resulting from the use of the internet, including viruses or other malicious software.
The website www.alumicaleira.com is exclusively intended for the sale of medical and orthopedic products by ALUMICALEIRA L.M. FERREIRA LDA to Customers and for providing a personal account to place orders; it may not be used for any other purpose.
ALUMICALEIRA L.M. FERREIRA LDA is not responsible for misuse of personal, non-transferable login credentials by third parties.
Article 8 – Duration
These General Terms of Sale apply for the duration of the commercial relationship between the Customer and ALUMICALEIRA L.M. FERREIRA LDA established through www.alumicaleira.com.
This does not preclude ALUMICALEIRA L.M. FERREIRA LDA from revising or amending these terms at a later date.
Article 9 – Evidence and Record-Keeping
Electronic records maintained in ALUMICALEIRA L.M. FERREIRA LDA’s IT system are considered proof of the contract between the Parties and the conditions under which it was concluded.
Records of orders and associated invoices will be stored on a reliable and durable medium.
Article 10 – Applicable Law and Jurisdiction
These General Terms of Sale are governed by Portuguese law in all matters not expressly covered herein.
In the event of a dispute regarding the validity, interpretation, or application of these terms, the Parties will seek an amicable solution through dialogue and negotiation.
If the dispute persists, the consumer may resort to a Consumer Dispute Resolution Entity:
